its not goodbye...its see ya later

my last week in london was great.
it kicked off with good company and bloomsbury bowl. then a whole hungover day spent at camden. proceeded into a lot of chilling and falling asleep to movies.

my last night was amazing. i couldnt have asked for anything more.
started with after work drinks, everyone came. it was very fun and i laughed a lot, naturally. im gonna miss them!
then i got to kates, showered and readied as fast as i could and pete rob katie simon and i made our way to on anon. such a mess. but so fun. i was trashed. expect no more and no less. american beauty shots are nice. i said i wasnt going to drink a lot bc i had to wake up early and fly home...yeah right....pictures that show my level...everyone should get on it some times...

i dont think i slept more than an hour and when i did fall asleep i woke up to katie saying " oh, hey. soooo guess who is at the door right now? pete and steve!" rut row. needless to say i had prepared the night before so i hoped up changed and was out the door in no time...haha. many thanks to rob for carrying my suitcase to the train. it was easier than i thought getting to heathrow. most likely bc i was still drunk and didnt care too much about other people. but i unfortunately made it home...i was miz on the plane

i am going to miss everyone and everything so much

kate i'll see you before you know it....

first of the last

the girls have all gone...il miss you guys.....

that is the bad news...
the good news is:
i got a new tattoo, thats exciting.
and i am going to see menomena tonight in london town
and i get to see my family and friends on friday

more bad news though....i have to come back to the states and leave europe....

this weekend was excellent. packed with lots of live music. cant get much better than that. there is never a dull moment around here, that is for sure.

all the girls left on saturday. it was sad, but i had a stressful day of moving my suitcase across the city so i didn't dwell too much. im pretty sure i pulled every muscle in my right arm, but after two long bus rides and a bunch of up hill walking i moved into kates for the week.
saturday night we started off with wine on a bench in greenwhich (im going on the big wheeEEL and pretending to drive in a car set a good tone for the night), then we had to run the whole way to the train so we didnt miss it (it was not a short run, and we did not jog we ran).
we first went to leciester square and saw some dancers dancing a tribute to the olympics. we were too busy making up our own dances to pay much attention but it was neat. playing dares started.
we then made our way to a bowling bar off of the goodge tube station that was awesome. you could bowl, you could drink, you could play ski ball, you could listen to the live band while doing all of that. so sweet. after way too many drinks i passed out on a tiny couch at steve and pauls.
katie woke up nice and early so we decided to make the most of our sunday. we walked back to hers from greenwhich, got some english breakfast on the way, did what we like to do then got ready, after a few attempts to take naps we got into gear and headed to camden. spent the whole day walking about getting a few pints, shopping so much, tattoos and more pints. camden is awesome, definitely a choice place for me. we ended our evening with a oven pizza, some chips and the shining. i fell asleep half way through (sorry doc). any whoo that was my weekend.
there are definitely pics. but i dont have them...when i get them il post them.
cheers.

barcelona was amazing

we got to barca late at night, after melissa already sprained her ankle and caitlin almost got pick pocketed we finally figured out where to go. we checked in to our hotel and ate and drank at the nearest place we could find. after a few we decided we wanted to see la playa. so we started walking...quickly we realized that we werent in the nicest of areas...we stopped for one more drink at a cafe and then continued on our adventure. it was almost 130am but we had heard that barca doesnt sleep so we werent too worried. after a few blocks we ran into a couple from holland and they asked us where we were going (probably bc we stood out all dressed up in such a dodgey area). the were sooo nice. the couple enthusiastically told us to go to port olympica and even hailed a cab for us in the right direction. so nice. and so we went. and wow. still hoppin. at 2am. crazy....so we danced and danced from club to club then finally went home. already we loved this place.

the next day we were determined to get a tan. so we went to the beach. all day. amazing. we had some beach drinks and enjoyed the sun and the mediterranean. we made a friend from michigan on the beach and ate a lovely dinner at an expensive seafood place. we went back to hotel rhonda and showered to get ready for the night. as we were all getting ready with the music up loud and our bottles of wine we hear a knock on the door. we answer and there is a australian asking us what we were getting into that night. we start talking and he tells us he has a guitar, 2 friends and some beer so naturally we invite them in. we had a sing along to some great jams and then decided to head out to see what this crazy city had instore for us. we went to razzamataz bc we heard all the hype. we were kinda dissapointed at the turn out but we were feeling good so we danced and enjoyed it anyways. everyone kind of coupled off. then we all headed to the beach and went swimming in the sea at night. it was great. another life accomplishment. ha.

next day we beached it even more. and loved life. that night we got ready and went and saw the magic fountian. it was pretty neat. disney tunes and all to the lights and water. amazing. then we all split up into taxis to go out and it turned out to be a bad idea for lack of money and mobiles. getting split up caitlin, matt, mitchell and i headed to the beach and just hung out all night. we walked a lot trying to find the others but it was a lost cause and we just enjoyed the weather and the beach.

the following day was also spent laying out all day, and some cannonballing into the sea. then we rinsed off and made our way home. delirious from the weekend and smelling awful we made it back to london with out getting pick pocketed and a nice tan. barcelona was so great. my favorite trip yet id say.

pictures are in order somewhat as to events....

british beer festival

thank you melissa for looking up things to do. this was an excellent choice.
note: vodka before a beer fest is not a good idea
met a lot of fun people, tasted a lot of good beers and ciders.
four girls in a warehouse full of hundreds of men surrounded by good beer. that is the equation for a great night.
:)

paris

we took a bus to paris, left at 930pm, got on a ferry around 100am then more bus around 3am. finally made it to paris with two new friends joey and justin and a bunch of new laughs. we went out to breakfast right by arc de triomphe and then met up with sarah.

all i can say is that paris was amazing! thanks to sarah we had the best trip ever. the apartment we stayed in was blocks from arc de triomphe and walking distance to the eiffel tower. it was a beautiful place, in a great location and i owe sarah and her family a million thatnks. we couldnt have done it any better.

our first day was filled with every sight we could squeeze in (then my camera died, and i was very upset about it) and our night consisted of crepes, montmartre veiw (amazing), wine, the arches and the artists, more crepes, more wine, moulin rouge, 300+ roller bladers, and lastly first time seeing the eiffel tower at 1230am all lit up dancing around underneath it with melissa.

our second day was kind of rainy and cold by we made it to the top of the eiffel tower eventually, taking our time. then as it started getting warmer, we shopped! of course... you have to shop while in paris. then after some shopping there was more wine, and some cheese. the night was topped off with a romantic evening, melissa and i with wine and cheese picnicing under the lights of the eiffel tower. met some creepers but all in all a great evening.

now because my camera died i am going to have to wait until the other pictures are uploaded to show you the best parts of the trip like the eiffel tower and montmartre at night. in due time...in due time...for now here are what i capture right before we climbed the 400+ stairs to the top of notre dame to see where quasimoto lives:
